What a Week Actually Looks Like Right Now
I think people assume there’s some kind of consistent rhythm happening here.
Like we’ve got a system, a routine, a plan that just… works.
And sometimes we do.
But most of the time, it looks more like this:
A mix of doctor appointments, trying to keep the house somewhat functional, and squeezing in creative time wherever it fits (with an uncooperative hand).
Some days we get a lot done.
Some days we don’t get much done at all.
Some days I have energy and can actually focus.
Other days, just getting through what has to happen is enough.
There’s a lot of adjusting.
A lot of shifting plans mid-day.
A lot of “we’ll come back to this tomorrow.”
And honestly… I’ve stopped fighting that.
Because forcing a perfect routine doesn’t work here.
What does work is building around what we actually have that day:
energy, time, capacity.
Some weeks feel productive.
Some feel slow.
Some feel like everything is happening at once.
All of them still count.
This is what learning looks like here.
This is what building looks like here.
Not perfectly planned out—
just real life, moving as it needs to.
