This Didn’t Turn Out How I Thought It Would
When I first started building all of this, it looked completely different.
There was a plan.
A direction.
A version of how it was all supposed to go.
And for a while, I really tried to hold onto that.
But life doesn’t always move the way you expect it to.
Health shifted.
Energy changed.
Things that once worked… didn’t anymore.
And I hit a point where I had to decide—
keep forcing something that no longer fit,
or step back and figure out what actually still made sense.
So that’s what I did.
Not a full restart.
Not throwing everything away.
Just… taking a step back and asking:
what’s still worth keeping?
What still works?
What still matters?
What can actually exist alongside real life now?
And building from there.
That’s what Backwoods Beauty is now.
Not one fixed idea.
Not one clean path.
It’s a mix of everything—
what I’ve built, what I’m still building,
and what’s changing as I go.
Some parts will grow.
Some parts will shift.
Some things might not last at all.
And that’s okay.
Because this isn’t about getting it perfect.
It’s about building something that actually works.
Something that can bend when life does.
Something that doesn’t fall apart the second things get hard.
If you’re here while this is still being figured out in real time—
I’m really glad you are. This is just the beginning of what this is becoming.
